Born and raised in north Texas, Dr. Harris specializes in arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery of the shoulder and knee. He received his undergraduate degrees from Southern Methodist University and then attended medical school at The University of Texas at Southwestern. From there he underwent orthopedic surgery internship and residency at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Harris obtained additional fellowship training at the internationally renowned American Sports Medicine Institute with Dr. James Andrews and Dr. William Clancy as well as orthopedic trauma training in Hanover, Germany.

Dr. Harris is Board Certified with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is licensed in the state of Texas and Alabama and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Orthopedic Trauma Association. Dr. Harris' practice focus and expertise are in sports related injuries of the shoulder and knee including:
